About me
Lynnaia Main serves as The Episcopal Church’s Representative to the United Nations, a staff member with the Presiding Bishop’s Global Partnerships team. She loves serving Jesus and her fellow Episcopalians by representing the Church at the United Nations and amplifying the voices and ministries of Episcopalians, accompanying them in their engagement with the UN. She nurtures partnerships between The Episcopal Church and UN entities, member states and civil society organizations and advocates for our Church’s priorities, ministries and policies determined by General Convention, alongside the Office of Government Relations, Anglican Communion, and other faith-based and civil society organizations. Prior to joining the Presiding Bishop’s staff, Ms. Main worked for 25 years in international relations and political science, in church, academic, United Nations, business and non-profit settings in the United States, France, and South Africa. She hails from southern New Jersey and is a warden and devoted member of the Eglise française du Saint Esprit in New York City, in the Diocese of New York. She is a current member of the Diocese of New York’s Reparations Commission and a past board member of its Global Women’s Fund.
